KARA II SPEAKERS L-ACOUSTICS

• The KARA modular line source operates on the 55 Hz - 20 kHz frequency band. The frequency response can be extended up to 32Hz with the SB18 subwoofer boost.
• KARA is an active 2-way loudspeaker comprising two 8 ”LF neodymium loudspeakers mounted in a bass-reflex cabinet. The HF section is composed of a neodymium motor with a 3 ”diaphragm compression chamber loaded by a DOSC® waveguide.
• The coplanar K configuration of the transducers defines a horizontal polar coverage of 1 10 °, symmetrical about the projection axis and without side lobes over the entire frequency band. The combination of a coplanar geometry and the DOSC® waveguide makes it possible to fulfill the five criteria of the WST®. The wavefront of a KARA line can be modeled without breaking and without accident up to a maximum of 10 ° per element placed in line.
• The KARA loudspeaker is made from premium Baltic birch plywood with outstanding mechanical and acoustic properties. The four-point hanging system allows up to 24 KARA loudspeakers to be hung in a single row.
• The KARA enclosure is driven and amplified by the dedicated L-ACOUSTICS LA8 controller which provides linearization, intelligent protection, and optimization in three operating modes:

1. “WIDE BAND” mode in main source line or distributed system use.
2. The “HIGH PASS” mode for proximity reinforcement or downfill of the K1 system.
3. The “SEVERE EXTENSION” mode in use with the SB18.
4. The performance of a KARA loudspeaker depends on the preset used and the configuration chosen.
